Reflourish is a learning app. It keeps a record of your practice so that it survives a reinstall and reaches a second device. That record is the only personal data it holds.
Reflourish is published by Durvesh Bhalekar, an individual developer based in India, acting as the Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
Grievance Officer: Durvesh Bhalekar, privacy@reflourish.app. Complaints about how your data is handled are answered within thirty days.
Reflourish works with no account and no email address. Open it and start. Everything is stored on your phone. In that state we hold no information that identifies you.
An account exists for one purpose: moving your practice record to a new phone, or getting it back after a reinstall. Creating one is a choice, and the app is fully usable without it.
| What | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Your name and email address | Only if you sign in with Apple or Google | To identify the account your practice record belongs to |
| Your practice record: the coins you have earned and spent, the dates you turned up, the card stacks you finished, and your scores in the three games | While you are signed in | To restore your progress on a reinstall or a second device |
| Anonymous product-health counts: how many delayed questions were attempted and answered correctly, the length of a streak, the app version, and the content version | Always, account or not | To check whether the app is teaching anything, rather than only producing streaks |
The product-health counts are stored against a random install identifier and no user identifier. There is no key that links them back to you or to your account, and none is kept elsewhere. They are designed so they cannot be re-identified.
If you sign in with Apple, you may use Hide My Email. Apple then gives us a relay address and we never see your real one. Replies to that address still reach you. If you sign in with Google, we receive the name and email address on that Google account and nothing else. Neither provider gives us a password.
Account data is stored with Supabase, our hosting provider, in a database located in Mumbai, India. Supabase processes it on our instructions and for no purpose of its own.
Your practice record is kept while your account exists. Delete the account and the rows holding it are deleted. The anonymous product-health counts, which are not linked to you, are kept as aggregate data.
Open the app, go to your profile, and choose Delete your account. The screen lists exactly what is removed before you confirm it. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.
Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription, because Apple holds it and we cannot touch it. Cancel it in your Apple ID subscription settings, which the same screen links to.
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 you may:
Write to privacy@reflourish.app to exercise any of them.
Reflourish is written for adults and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly create accounts for children, and there is no behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising anywhere in the app for any user of any age. If you believe a child has created an account, write to privacy@reflourish.app and it will be deleted.
Three companies see data, each for a stated reason and none for their own purposes:
| Who | What they see | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | The account row and the practice record | They host the database |
| Apple | Your purchase, and your name and email if you sign in with Apple | They sell the subscription and run the sign-in |
| Your name and email, if you sign in with Google | They run that sign-in |
We disclose data to no one else, except where a law or a court in India requires it.
Traffic between the app and the server is encrypted in transit. Access to the database is restricted so that an account can read and write only its own rows. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise.
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change that materially affects what is collected or why will be notified in the app before it takes effect.
